As soon as I got inside Lizzie and Marco's beautiful apartment in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, I knew we were in for a treat. Lizzie and Marco's apartment is stunning and they welcomed me nervously like a long-lost friend. Over a glass of wine, we talked about the importance of documenting important moments in life. And through a few tears Lizzie explained that they would soon be leaving the home where they had first started their life together to move back to California. Photography for me is all about memory and the passing of time and it immediately felt that we were incredibly aligned on this. We spent some time shooting in the apartment before heading out into their local neighbourhood, drinking cocktails in their local bar before walking to their favourite pizza place. Of course documenting the experience mostly on film. I also shot a little Super 8 film as well, which you can see below. I like to think that these pictures serve as a special memory in the story of their lives together, and that these pictures will be enjoyed for many years to come as part of the legacy of their family. Just what I love about photography. If you'd like me to come to wherever you are and document your engagement, contact me below and let's make it happen!
