Brina & troy

Domaine Rocabella, France

It was so special to be invited to join Brina and Troy in Provence for their wedding weekend. The south of France is such a stunning area to get married in and the venue of Domaine Rocabella provides an amazing canvas for the festivities. This was a slightly unique assignment as I was invited by my fellow wedding photographer and friend, Joy Zamora, to focus on film photography for the weekend. As much as I do enjoy shooting digital, my heart and soul is truly analogue and any chance to focus on film photography on a wedding day is always a huge treat. For this one I used a variety of film stocks including Kodak Gold, Kodak Portra 400 and Portra 800. Plus Ilford Delta 3200 for the black and whites. It's my favourite film stock for black and white by far as I really love the prominent grain that it gives. Brina and Troy were such great sports and were up for any crazy ideas we suggested. I was quite amazed that Brina didn't bat an eyelid when we suggested giving her a boost so she could sit on top of the pillar in her prewedding dress! It's always so much fun to work with couples who are up for anything an alongside an amazing team:
