One of the most humbling and beautiful things about this job is being invited into the lives of my couples and their families, even if just for a weekend. And never was this truer than for the wedding of Sid and Zach. Right from the outset they were clear, 'we want you to be a guest at our wedding'. I was invited to spend three days with them sleeping in a log cabin in the forests of the Smoky Mountains in North Carolina. Hiking, sitting around the campfire and generally just sharing the time together, eating amazing food and, also, there was a wedding! And a beautiful one at that, filled with a tremendous amount of connection and love. Sid and Zach set the tone for everyone with their warmth and kidness and it felt special to be a part of. I'm so grateful for this amazing weekend in the mountains with them.
