Ana & Andoni

Private Masía, Girona

When I got the first email from Ana and Andoni I knew instantly that they were my kind of people. Many emails I receive are short and straight to the point. Not this one, this was a mini essay full of passion and excitement for life, telling me all the things they loved to do together; kitesurfing, travelling the world, hosting dinner parties for their friends, you know all the good stuff of life haha. In fact, in the build up to the wedding, when many couple's are stressed and overwhelmed, Ana and Andoni decided to go off backpacking for 3 months around South East Asia, that pretty much sums these two up, people that know how to enjoy the finer things in life and to seek out an exiting experience.

And so it was with the wedding. It would be hosted in a family 'masía' that began construction in the 10th century! A ceremony in the gardens led by a close friend of the couple followed by canapés by the pool and an open air banquet in the courtyard by candle light. Obviously, the setting itself was incredible and the Girona weather was kind to them as well. But the overwhelming experience of being at this wedding was just the extraordinary amount of love the guests had for Ana and Andoni and the love they had for each other. Their families are just like a warm embrace. Kind, supportive, and wear their emotions on their sleeves. And boy do they know how to party! Once the dancing started and the Mescal was flowing, it was hard to know if the party would ever stop. And Ana and Andoni there in the middle of it all with the most enormous smiles on their faces throughout, heaven!
